CLARITY IS THE CURE

TL;DR:

Clarity and purpose are key to happiness and success. They help you set goals, stay motivated, and avoid feeling lost. In business, they’re essential for building a strong brand and making meaningful decisions. The Japanese concept of IKIGAI, which combines what you love, what you’re good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for, is a powerful tool for finding your “reason for being” and living a fulfilling life.

There is a good reason why I put this chapter above all others.

Having clarity and purpose is probably the most important aspect of happiness. Clarity helps us figure out what we want and where we’re going, so we don’t end up feeling lost or overwhelmed.

Purpose is what gives our actions meaning and helps keep us motivated, so we don’t give up on our goals.

In business, having clarity and purpose is crucial for building a strong brand, bonding your team, connecting with customers, and making meaningful decisions.

In short, if you want to feel fulfilled and successful, it’s essential to have a clear sense of what you want and why you’re doing it.

I am a big fan of IKIGAI as a fast and reliable concept to find our north star with great clarity.

Ikigai is a Japanese concept that roughly translates to “a reason for being.”

It is the idea that everyone has a purpose or passion in life that brings them fulfillment and happiness. It is often represented by a Venn diagram with four circles representing: what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for.

Finding the intersection of these four circles is believed to be one’s Ikigai.

It is a holistic approach to living a fulfilling life, by combining one’s passions, talents, and values with the needs of the world.

Here is my version of the Ikigai diagram:

I love doing IKIGAI sessions with people but that doesn't scale and $800 is a lot of money for most, so I had some fun putting together this low price online video course - check it out.

Best, Bonny
